How do I make a scanned PDF searchable?

Scanned PDFs store pictures of pages, not text, so they cannot be searched until OCR reads them. Docly’s OCR tool converts a scanned PDF into a searchable document: it recognizes the text on each page and makes it copyable and findable. For PDFs that already have a text layer, no OCR is needed and they convert instantly.
